The Hardkiss is a rock band formed in 2011 in Kyiv, Ukraine, by vocalist Julia Sanina and guitarist and creative producer Val Bebko.
With four studio albums written by Julia and Val — Stones and Honey (2014), Perfection Is a Lie (2017), Zalizna Lastivka (2018), and Zhyva i Ne Zalizna (2021) — The Hardkiss has become one of Ukraine’s most influential modern rock acts.
The Hardkiss has toured extensively across Ukraine, Europe, and the United States, performing in numerous cities and building a strong international fanbase. They have also appeared at major festivals including Rock for People, Europejski Stadion Kultury, Midem, Atlas Weekend and many more.
The band are multiple-time winners of the YUNA Music Awards, including “Best Band” and “Best Album.”
They have also collaborated with major brands such as Pepsi and Vodafone, reflecting their influence both in the music industry and in commercial partnerships.
Frontwoman Julia Sanina has served as a judge on The Voice and The X Factor, voiced characters in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Trolls World Tour, and Smurfs: The Lost Village, was a finalist on Strictly Come Dancing Ukraine in 2020, and co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, where The Hardkiss performed at the opening ceremony.
In 2026, The Hardkiss releases its fifth full-length album Greyhound. The band also embarks on a large-scale anniversary European tour and performs at legendary festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Greenfield Festival, Escalation Fest, and many more.
